Cominco Gardens

Surrounded by a canopy of mature trees, Kimberley Cominco Gardens creates a beautiful backdrop for weddings, graduations, and special occasions. Set on 5 hectares with over 48,000 colorful flowers in bloom, the gardens provide ample opportunity for great pictures, & exploration for guests. You'll see and smell giant dahlias, also known as "dinner plate dahlias," an extensive display of perennials such as Canterbury bells and foxglove as well as over 16,000 annuals that include Livingston daisies, marigolds and petunias. Bavarian City Mining Railway

Nestled in the Rocky Mountain Trench in the East Kootenay Region of B.C. is the City of Kimberley; the home of the historic Sullivan Mine and the Underground Mining Railway. The Kimberley Underground Mining Railway is owned and operated by the Sullivan Mine and Railway Historical Society. The Kimberley mining railway has been in existence, in one form or another, for 25 years and has developed into a unique tourist attraction.

Visit us and ride the rails through the beautiful Mark Creek valley as you listen to the history of Kimberley and the Sullivan Mine. Experience life as a miner at the underground Interpretive Centre. Participate in our mining show and be exposed to working mine equipment. Enjoy spectacular scenery and the occasional wild life as you travel to the Kimberley Alpine Resort. After a brief stop at the Resort Station you can learn more about Kimberley as you continue back to the Downtown Station.

Explore the Orpheum Theatre, the North Star Schoolhouse, the Miner’s Cabin, the Powerhouse, and the Caboose as part of your adventure into history.

The Platzl & Cuckoo Clock
The Platzl is a pedestrian mall in the downtown centre. Modelled on a Bavarian theme, the Platzl combines unique shops with an European village atmosphere. Visitors may see a wandering accordionist performing, the town mascot Happy Hans, and one of the Platzl’s most popular features the large free standing Cuckoo Clock in North America. Within the Platzl area, the Kimberley Heritage Museum details some of the important moments in Kimberley’s history, and after all the shopping and sightseeing, the visitor can relax with a cool drink at one of the many restaurants which offer both indoor and outdoor service.
Marysville Falls & Mainstreet Marysville

Marysville is located just a short 10 minute drive south of Kimberley. The gateway community’s “Mainstreet” houses unique shops and cafes. Marysville Falls is just a short walk from off the highway. Take the easy accessible wooden walkway to the 100 ft waterfall. Remember to bring your camera, the view is breathtaking.

Centre 64
